Obituary of Ernest Alfred Brosseau

BROSSEAU, Ernest "Ernie"

October 13, 1931 - December 7, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of Ernest at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, at the age of 89.  Beloved husband of Juliette (Lacharité) for nearly 65 years.  Cherished Papa and Dad of Lucille and Ray Falkner, Marcel and Cina (Ceatano) Brosseau, the late Charles Brosseau (1980), and RoseMarie and Peter Toorop.  Cherished Pépé and grandpa of  Stephanie and Isaac Wing, Melissa Falkner and fiancé Tudor Stanciu, Crystal Kolgekaya and fiancé Raul Iederan, and Rueben Toorop.  Beloved Great-pépé of Kingsley and Hayden Wing.  Son of the late Euldege and Marguerite (Soulliere) Brosseau.  Dearest brother of the late Cecile (2013) (late George) Baillargeon, the late Raymond (2020) and surviving wife Doreen Brosseau, Florence (late Leon) Lanoue and Eugene and Carol Brosseau.  Brother-in-law of Rosaire and Madeleine Lacharité, Carmelle (late Charles) Styga, and Marie-Anne and Wayne Levesque.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Totally devoted to the land, Ernest was a farmer in Romney Township and served many associations as secretary-treasurer and president.  He was a long time member of St. Charles Church in Stevenson until its closure.  He enjoyed being an active member of the Wheatley Grand Squares square dancing club with his wife Juliette.  He will be greatly missed...A man who was always out standing in his field.  The Brosseau family will receive friends at Reaume Funeral Home Inc., 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury, on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.  As per Covid-19 regulations, we require that anyone wishing to attend the visitation, pre-register using the following link, Click here for Visitation Registration or call 519-682-0110 between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to reserve your spot.  The Funeral Mass can be viewed live, by clicking on the following link,  Tilbury Mass Live Stream .  A private Interment will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Xavier Church Building Fund or Canadian Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be shared at www.reaumefh.com
