My sympathies go out to the Brosseau family. I mostly remember as a child Ernest visiting my Dad Alphonse at the farm, & he spoke so gentle & spoke to me like I was his son...very kind man, as all the Brosseau men are... Rene

We were very saddened to hear of Ernest's passing. He was a wonderful neighbour and a excellent farmer. He was very inspirational in his dedication to farming. We will miss seeing him out with his hoe or working in his garden.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this time.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Brosseau's passing. He was a very kind and generous man. My first mail contract was delivering for R#3 Tilbury. In the summer he would always give me vegetables and apples (the yellow ones were the best) and he would talk to me about how he and his wife would be doing canning or freezing his harvest. His home was a turnaround on my route and everyday i would see him far in the field doing some farm work. He was a hardworking and dedicated man. I havent seen him in years but his memories of kindness will always be in my heart. Heavens fields will be waiting for you. RIP Mr. Brosseau. Sue Brown, Retired Rural Mail Carrier

As Ernest is my father, I have many memories but one that sticks in my mind and makes me smile is the following:
Only a couple of months ago I was video chatting with Dad and he was remembering particular things during WWII -how the Dutch royal family (pregnant queen and kids) fled to Canada for Sanctuary. Dad spoke about a picture of the princesses in the local paper -and as a young boy he had cut it out because he was in love with one of the princesses (who we think is the one who became the Dutch queen for many years -including the years I was first living in the Netherlands). It was so lovely to share this ‘secret’ I never knew about Dad. He will be missed!
