Obituary of Rev. Ronald Gilbert Paquette
Reverend Ronald Paquette was born on June 9, 1929, in Chatham, Ontario passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Hospice of Windsor. He attended St. Francis Xavier Parochial School in Tilbury and Tilbury District High School. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 4, 1955, by Bishop John C. Cody at St. Peter's Cathedral in London. He retired on June 30, 2005. Father Paquette ministered at Most Precious Blood, Windsor (1955-1960); Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Windsor (1960-1962); Immaculate Conception, Windsor (1962-1964); St. Benedict, Sarnia (1964-1965); St. Anne, Tecumseh (1965-1970); St. Vincent de Paul, Windsor (1970-1974); St. John Vianney, Windsor (1974-1978); Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Windsor (1978-1988); St. Mary, West Lorne (1988-1997); Sacred Heart Parish, Wingham (1997-2003); and St. John the Evangelist, Woodslee (2003-2005). Beloved brother of Claire Paquette and Denise McLean. Dearest uncle of Stephanie and Meredith McLean. Great uncle of Skyler. Predeceased by parents Midas and Lucille (King) Paquette. Special thank you to St. Simon and St. Jude Parish, La Chaumiere Retirement Residence, the 2nd floor staff at Leamington District Memorial Hospital, and the Hospice of Windsor/Essex County. Visitation at St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. His Most Rev. Bishop Ronald Peter Fabbro, C.S.B. celebrant.
