Obituary of Colin Lindsay Swan

SWAN, Rev. Colin Lindsay (BA,MDiv)

75 years, of Comber, passed away unexpectedly, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.  Beloved husband of Jane Swan (nee Walsh) for 44 years.  Loving father of Elizabeth Morgan, Laura Swan (Jon Forbes), David (Mallory) Swan, and Nicholas Swan (Rebecca Marcano). Cherished grandpa of Zieryn, Audrey, and Nathanael.  Dear brother of Randa (Peter) Wintermute.  Son of the late Denis and Phyllis Swan.  Also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.  Colin was an ordained minister with the United Church of Canada for 40 years, currently serving the Merlin-Fletcher pastoral charge. 

Throughout his ministry he has served the communities of Londesborough, Sarnia, Elliot Lake, Port Stanley, Kingsville, and Comber.  He was an active member of the Clan Gunn Society of North America.  Colin was caring and compassionate to his communities and the people he served.

Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home Inc., 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Funeral Service at Merlin United Church, 100 Aberdeen Street, Merlin on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.  Rev. Dr. Catherine Collins-Barker officiating.  Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to Merlin-Fletcher Pastoral Charge appreciated.  Online condolences may be shared at www.reaumefh.com
