Easily the coolest minister to ever roll through Londesboro. I’ll never forget Colin, his easy going manner, his sense of humour, and his baritone laugh. And of course who could forget his menagerie of pets, Terrence the Tarantula, a fish named Oscar, and Chuckles the pet chicken. Some of my favourite childhood memories are of the Swan Family. Colin left the world a better place and is kindly remembered by anyone with the good fortune to meet him. An absolute legend.

I was so sorry to hear of the news of Colin's death. This photo of Colin is lovely. It radiates his warmth, compassion and humour. Colin gave great hugs! He was a brother in Christ and a supportive colleague. He was grounded in the gospel and had a strong sense of call. To his beloved family and closest friends, I offer this wisdom, "Within our darkest nights, God kindles the fire the never dies away."

We were so deeply saddened to learn that the world has lost Reverend Colin. He was such a loving and warm-hearted person who gave so much of himself to others. He was the minister of Comber St. Andrews when my children and I started attending there quite a few years ago. He was so welcoming to us, and so kind. My children have warm memories of Colin's bear hugs. We will miss him very much, and offer our sincere condolences to Colin's family.

My condolences to the family....Jan, Elizabeth, Laura, David and Nick. I was part of the pastoral search team that called Colin from Elliot Lake to Port Stanley/Fingal/Dexter. I helped to move the family into a home on Steele St in St. Thomas. I remember calling him up from University Hospital to tell him my wife, at age 38, had just been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Colin drove up right away to be with us at the UH hospital that evening. In six months time Colin helped officiate at Sandra’s funeral and was a great support and friend to my self and children at that difficult time. I will always remember him for his care. See you in heaven when I get there Colin! Roy Orchard

I have had the great honour of Having had Colin in my life for 50 years, as his Brother in law’s wife, as someone whom, loved the way he was with anyone whom reached out to him, for guidance, compassion and whom blessed and officiated at both of our Son’s weddings.
This time has come way to soon and I feel that our world has lost a dear man, and a dear friend, and a Huge Loss for Our Spiritual World will be felt deeply.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to his wife Jane and his whole family at this time.
Colin, I know that you will be watching over us all, “I can see your smile and hear your encompassing laughter”
I am a better person for having known you..
