Obituary of Donald William Smith

SMITH, Donald William Don, of Lighthouse Cove, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Windsor Regional Hospital, after a short bout with cancer. Loving husband of Joyce Smith (Rudling). Cherished father to Brian Smith of Toronto and Betty Wade of London. Don had one grandchild, Chelsea Wade, that he was very proud of. Dear brother of the late Wallace Smith (surviving wife) Rosemary and sister Marie Balestrini and (late husband) Patrick. Don was a retired teacher with the Windsor Secondary Board of Education. In respect of Don’s wishes, there will be cremation with no visitation. A private family gathering will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor and Essex County Cancer Foundation.
