My deepest sympathy to the Smith family. Don was my Tech Director during my first year of teaching at Shawnee Secondary School in Windsor, 1981. I will always remember his down to earth and fair approach in helping through my first year of teaching - fresh out of industry. You are in my prayers. Margie (Dowhan in 1981)

Dearest Joyce,
I am overwhelmed with grief with the loss of Don. Odd, that's the first time I've addressed him by his first name..he was always "Mr. Smith" to me. He was so wonderful to work for and I will miss him so very much. I feel so terribly for you, Brian and Betty..my most heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Always a smile and a happy, cheery greeting. The best neighbor anyone could have. A good man, whom we will always remember full of energy.
Craziest memory is of Don monkey-climbing his dock posts to get out of his boat.
Most amazing memory is the first time we watched him dock his boat. With a whisper he calmly coasted into dock.
Forever in our memories and in our hearts.
