Obituary of Bernice Marie Louise Rivard

RIVARD, Bernice (nee Roy)
Mom passed away peacefully on March 11, 2022 at her home, with family by her side.  Beloved wife of Ron Rivard for 63 years. Loving mother of David (Fran), LouAnn Lutsch (Todd), Brian, Geri-Lynn Mineau (Ronald). Mémé to Grant, Samantha, Greg, Mitchel, Breanne, Matt, Allison, Amy, Sara, Julie and Jackie.  Grand-Mémé to Sawyer, Christian, Florence, Lucas, Ellis and Ripley. Predeceased by her mother Agnes (2011), father Hiram (1970), brothers, Fr. Paul (1994), Louis (2008) and Francis (1957). Survived by her siblings Margaret & Jerry Pawlowski (2020), Ernest & Joan, Michael & Bonnie, Bill & Diane, Alfred & Lorraine, Richard, Barbara & Michael McGuire, Rene & Pauline, Marcel & Mariella, Mary Ann & Marc Pinsonneault. Bernice will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was the pillar of our family. Making sure the cousins all got to know each other. She would initiate and host parties and get togethers whenever possible. She supervised the operations at the Stoney Point Canning factory for over 25 years. Mom was loved by many because she was accepting of all. Her door was always open.  She was always ready to help out in any way, volunteering her time with  the Lioness club, Sportsmens club, CWL, and the Legion. She enjoyed her golf, bowling, tennis and fishing. Special thanks to the Hospice team for all their help, guidance and TLC which enabled Mom to have a great last year of life in her home playing her Tuesday Euchre and Wednesday poker with the girls. She had many visits and laughs from friends & family enjoying the sunshine and a cold beer while listening to her birds. Lucky in life, love, family, cards and many draws. A celebration of her life will be held at the Stoney Point Sportsman's Club at a later date.
