Obituary of Margaret Alberta McLean
Margaret Alberta McLean (Garrison)
December 30, 1923 – March 1, 2020
Margaret passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 1 at the grand old age of 96 years. She was known for her infectious smile, and her gentle, kind and compassionate spirit. She always looked forward to a good party with country and western music, dancing and cold beverages. She managed the Tilbury Motel prior to working at Southwestern Regional Centre where she spent the next several years until a car accident forced her into retirement. She was the beloved wife of the late James (1968) and is survived by son Thomas (Elaine). She is predeceased by parents Margaret and Edward Garrison, son James (1994) and his wife Gertie (2019), son Edward (2011) and daughter-in-law Lea (2010). She was also predeceased by nine brothers and sisters and will be lovingly missed by her grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great- great- grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She has lived under the watchful care of the staff at Tilbury Manor for the past 15 years. Thanks to Deb and Cindy for always keeping an eye on her and thanks to all those who took a minute to say hi to her when they were at the manor. Per Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date with interment at McDowell Cemetery, Comber. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or McDowell Cemetery would be appreciated. Online condolences may be shared at www.reaumefh.com
