Obituary of Leigh Stacey

STACEY, Janis Leigh

June 15, 1946- April 2, 2019

72 years, of Chatham.  Leigh is survived by her sister Shirley Parkin.  Aunt of Faon Parkin and Amber (Mike) Dawson. Great-aunt to Alexia, Jordan, Maddy, Alana, Michael and Ryan. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Velma Stacey (nee Taylor). Leigh is also survived by several cousins. As well as her circle of best friends; her specially chosen family. She will be missed by her Saturday morning breakfast cousins and Sunday morning McDonald’s coffee friends. Leigh began her career as an RPN in Windsor at Metropolitan Hospital.  She retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chatham after many years of service as a staffing clerk and union steward (SEIU).  As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be held on June 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at McDowell Cemetery, Comber. A celebration of life will follow at the Comber Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army, Chatham-Kent Ministries, Canadian Cancer Society or the War Amps Ontario, are greatly appreciated.
