LANSUE, Shirley (née Strang)

Passed away peacefully at Erie Shores Hospice in Leamington on June 6, 2018 at the age of 91. Loving wife to the late George (1995). Cherished mother to the late David (1991), Shirley (Charles) McKinlay, Gary Lansue, Sue Lansue, Sandy Lansue, and Brian (Lise) Lansue.  Daughter of the late Harold and Ruth (Greer) Strang. Dearest sister of Mavis (Don) Markham, and the late Minnie 2007 (Morley) Chalmers, Verna 2013 (Evan) Wilson, Dorothy 2013 (Bill) Grigg, Murray (Dorothy) Strang 1983, Doug Strang 2007, and Carman Strang 2010. Dear sister-in-law of Annie (Leo) Benoit, June (Dwayne) Russel, and late Fred (Alice) Lansue. Proud grandmother to 6 grandchildren: Shawn (Melanie) McKinlay, Jason McKinlay, Eric (Stephanie) Lansue, Amber Lansue, Braedon (Saydee) Lansue, and Brette Lansue, and 6 great grandchildren: Emily (Jake Levesque) McKinlay, Sam, Ayden and Bobby McKinlay, Reign and Kingsley McKinlay. Dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Shirley was an active member of the community; a volunteer at Tilbury Manor for 20+ years, Citizen of the Year, and a loyal friend to many. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be invited for a celebration of life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Tilbury on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Erie Shores Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
