Obituary of Stewart Buchan

BUCHAN, Stewart “Joe” 72 years, of Tilbury, born October 13, 1938, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Beloved spouse of Rose Carr (Phelan). Loving father of Lisa and Terry Shimmell of Marine City, MI; Jay Buchan and Barbie of Tilbury. Dearest grandfather of Cassy, Coty, Kylie, Tyler, and Hunter. Predeceased by parents John Buchan (1982) and Sadie (Phillips) Buchan (1997). Dear brother of Vivian and Adelard Tellier, Royce (2009) and Colleen Buchan, Robert and Mary (2004) Buchan, Eunice and Bob Gobert. Predeceased by brother-in-law Robert Schneider (1992). Dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Joe retired from Chrysler Canada after 38 years of service and was an avid antique car buff. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 7-9 p.m. Friday, and 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday. Funeral service from the funeral home Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., then to St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury for Mass at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment at Erie Cemetery, Wheatley at a later date. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice appreciated.
