Obituary of Fred Garbutt

GARBUTT, Fred 82 years, of Jeannette’s Creek, passed away at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Sunday, August 7, 2011. Beloved husband of Anne (nee Wieringa). Loving father of Elaine Gagnon of Jeannette’s Creek, Dianne Thibodeau of Tilbury, Roy Garbutt and wife Jane of Jeannette’s Creek. Dear grandfather of Joe Thibodeau, Michelle Gagnon, Cole Garbutt, Marc Gagnon (1999), 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandson. Predeceased by his parents Roy & Ida (Michie) Garbutt. Dear brother of the late Sr. Adrienne (Blanche) Garbutt, George Garbutt, Nellie Jubenville, Ida Mae (Scott) Rowsom, John Garbutt, and surviving sister Madge and husband Charles Wilson. Dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Fred was a lifelong resident and farmer in Jeannette’s Creek and proprietor of Garbutt’s Vegetables. In accordance with Fred’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Reaume Funeral Home, Tilbury. Memorial donations to Gene Goodreau Patient Assistance Fund appreciated.
