Obituary of Lawrence Peltier

PELTIER, Lawrence 80 years, of Chatham, formerly of Lighthouse Cove and Tilbury East, passed away at Chatham Retirement Resort on Saturday, August 6, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Penelope (Penny) Gushue. Loving father of Lorrie and husband Murray Hornick of Lighthouse Cove. Predeceased by his parents Herbert Peltier and Marie (Couture) Peltier (Hodgson). Dear brother of the late Theresa and late husband Tommy Dupuis, Pearl Dupuis and late husband Edward of Tilbury, William Peltier and late wife Shirley of Chatham. Lawrence will be dearly missed by many friends, nieces and nephews. Lawrence began his career as a civil engineer with Curran and Briggs in Newfoundland, followed by many devoted years of service with Brad-Lea Meadows in Chatham. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Parish prayers 4 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service from the funeral home Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 9:45 a.m., then to St. Peter’s Church, Tilbury East for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Parkinson Society appreciated.
