For the 11 years I was at Comber Centennial School Carol was a mentor, friend, and usually lunch buddy. She was an excellent person to work with on assemblies, events, and excursions; and she taught me many things to expand my teaching abilities. I still remember the first time I ever met her entering Centennial. I am quite short, and initially she thought I was a student coming in the front door of the school. "What are you doing coming in there !", she admonished. "And take off that ballcap !" Then we both looked at each other stunned; realized we were both teachers, laughed, and became good colleagues for a decade plus; and gosh we had fun. I send my sincerest condolences to her family and friends; and to the Comber community that shared and cared for this special lady.
