I have fond memories of Tom and Kay growing up as a young child. Sharing the same land, they were our next-door neighbours in cottage country. Both Tom and Kay were so sweet, treating my brother and I like grandchildren of their own. We would often wake up, fill up our cereal baggies and run over to join Tom and Kay for breakfast. On special mornings, we would get a phone call to leave the baggies because Kay was making freshly picked blueberry pancakes. I think Bryce and I ran extra fast on those mornings. They had so much patience for us, and their door was always open to our family. I remember following Kay around as she tended to her beautiful garden, and loved learning everything she and Tom had to teach us about cottage life. She will be missed dearly. What a wonderful, strong woman, who lived such a full life. Our thoughts extend to her family during this difficult time.

Whether it was visiting Kay and Tom at their farm in Comber as a kid or the many great hours we Doeys shared working and playing up at the cottage, I have many fond memories of Kay. She was as comfortable knitting Christmas stockings for her grandchildren (including our kids) as she was helping Tom to pull stumps around the ARGLL-V. Thank you for those great memories, Kay.

Tom and Kay we're like second grandparents to my sister and I. We spent summers growing up at our cottage; right next door to The ARGLL-V. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of waking up to a ziploc baggie of fruit loops that my sister and I would take, through the forest path, to Tom and Kay's for breakfast - fruit loops being the obvious compliment to snapping turtle soup :P Kay will be greatly missed, love and condolences to the family at this time.

Dear families of the ARGLL-V, with their families. We share in your sense of loss at this time, of a very dear mom, grandma, great grandma, friend. Pine scented, wood fire, pickerel memories, along with thoughts of many happy meals shared by our families at Tom n Kay's farm, under Kay's skillful culinary oversight, will always bring to mind the real meaning of the word 'hospitality '-alongside of much good ole fashioned fun! We share in your loss, but we treasure with you the gain, of having known such a loving person. With love and sympathy, the McEacherns

My sympathies to Kay's family on her passing. As a volunteer at Hudson Manor I always delighted in her company on our outings in the van. She was always cheerful and welcoming at the Manor when I would encounter her in the hall or at the activities she participated in so enthusiastically. She will definitely be missed.
