Doug (Roy) and myself went to grade school together, and your right he was a gentle giant with a great sense of humour. We actually went to grade 8 graduation together. This isn't the way you want to say hello and goodbye, hold tight to your memories and know he is in the arms of the Father now.
God Bless,
Linda Bishop (Macfarlane)

I have read the short story of Roy's family and life and have a little more understanding of the special place he had in Dianne 's Life. I had not had the honour of meeting Roy in person, but his description and photo are just who I would have thought him to be from Dianne's glowing stories and her pride in his talents and accomplishments. He was so generous and I will be forever grateful to his spirit for bringin Dianne here to windsor for my Retirement open House a few days ago. He gave her the opportunity to be with her teaching mates and to help me give hugs and thank her for all her kindnesses to me for the four years or so that I knew dianne. Please konw that when we think of Roy, Dianne will be part of that story for us, and now we konw ther are others who share in a special love for Roy/ Doug. Please accept my condolences at this sad time and prayers for health and peace.

Although I did not know Roy, I knew that his wife Dianne loved him very much. She shared how he enjoyed working with his hands.
I am very saddened by your loss and lift you and your family up in prayer before the Lord.
