Obituary of Michel Bicrel

BICREL, Michel 90 years, of Pointe-aux-Roches, passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Beloved husband of 66 years to Jeannette (Diraison). Loving father of George and Chantal Bicrel, Mireille and Randy Chevalier, and the late Michelle Bicrel (1947). Proud pépé to Jennifer and Rod Lemieux, Randy and Andrea Chevalier, Michael Chevalier and fiancée Christine Marcus. Cherished great grandfather to Meghan, Colin, Cadence, Brendan and Darby. Dearest brother of the late Jean-Louis Bicrel, Raymond Bicrel, and Marie Hémery. Dear brother-in-law of Françoise Diraison, and Louisiane and Norman Michiels. Dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Michel immigrated to Canada from France in 1951, eventually settling in the Pointe-aux-Roches area where he has operated a family farm for almost 60 years. Visitation at Paul Reaume Funeral Home, Comber from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, and at Visitation Parish Church, Comber from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011 with Funeral Mass commencing at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Annunciation Cemetery, Pointe-aux-Roches. Memorial donations to charity of choice appreciated.
