Obituary of Alice Blondine Lanoue

LANOUE, Alice Blondine (née Sauve) (Strong) Passed away peacefully on October 23, 2013 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Peter Lanoue (2003) and Leonard Strong (1987). Loving mother to Pauline and husband Andrew Chauvin (Brockville), Lawrence Strong and wife Laulie (Thamesville), Louis Strong and wife Mary Lynn (Ruscom), Leo Strong and wife Donna (Woodslee), Annette and husband David Baillargeon (Maidstone), Wilfred Strong and wife Kelly (Essex), Helen Strong (Belle River). Dearest grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and late grandson Joseph Strong (2004). Predeceased by parents Eddie and Bella (Chouinard) Sauve. Dear sister to late Victor Sauve and late wife Theresa, Gerard Sauve and wife Mary-Jane, Alma and late husband Albert Breault, late Eugene Sauve and surviving wife Theresa, late Louis Sauve (Estelle Quenneville), Edward Sauve and wife Mary, Louise and husband Richard Cloutier, Paul Sauve and wife Yvette. Dear sister-in-law to the late James (Jean), late Charlie (Cecile), Mary Heyd (late Leo), late John (Annette), Theresa Tygat (late George), late Harry (Margaret), Richard, Marcella DeCook (late Joe), Bernard (Ursula), Henry (Geraldine). Also, dearly missed by Isabelle Lanoue, who was like a sister to her. They had many good times together. Alice will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Alice drove a school bus for 18 years for St. Mary’s School in Maidstone. She enjoyed her job, gardening, and going camping. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday, and at Visitation Parish Church, Comber from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013. Funeral Mass to commence at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery, Belle River. Parish prayers 3 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario appreciated.
