Obituary of Catherine Anne Mazerolle

Mazerolle, Catherine (Kitty) (nee Lahey) With sad and heavy hearts, the family announce her passing on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the age of 90. Survived by her brothers; John and Ronald Lahey of Cape Broyle Newfoundland, her children and their spouses; Ron & Silvya Mazerolle, Arlene Mazerolle & Derek Boyes, Denise & Winston Morris, and grandchildren; Kyle and Tyler Mazerolle, Bobby Boyes, and Shane and Chantal Morris. Born in Cape Broyle, Newfoundland, Kitty married Joe Mazerolle and enjoyed 54 memorable years together, until his passing in 2009. Kitty was a gifted story-teller and would hold her grandchildren spellbound with vibrant stories of her childhood. The family would like to thank the loving and skilled staff and all the residents at Hudson Manor who made her feel so at home. The expert care of Dr. Bryan and the nurses at Bayshore was also most appreciated. Visitation at Paul Reaume Funeral Home, Comber on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.; parish prayers Friday at 8:00 p.m. Family and friends will be received at Visitation Parish Church, Comber, on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Funeral Mass to commence at 10:30 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
