Sorry for your loss of Ovaline, we knew her and Morris from the Comber Legion going with J.D. & Josie Moynahan, Fred & Evelyn Oliver & Evelyn Lucas, Charlie & Yvonne Oliver and many others of our family. Of course drinking but most of the memories are the fellowship of the nights singing many many many of the old songs long after the bands were done, we all closed the Comber Legion for to many years to remember, always having a FABULOUS TIME. J.D. & Josie, Fred & Evelyn & Evelyn L. I'm sure are now enjoying those times together in Heaven again.

I am a PSW for Revera formerly Comcare Health and and did home care for both your mom and dad. She was a sweetheart with a beautiful soul! Your dad was a great guy and expressed so much love for her! They were a great couple and both so proud of their family. Sorry for you loss!

I have such fond memories of my Aunt Ovie (when I stayed with her at the old house and slept as close as I could get to the furnace, sharing the chaos of a large family's Easter celebration, running around getting into trouble on the farm...). Aunt Ovie always seemed to be in the center of everything and running the show... her energy and her sense of humor always made the farm someplace I wanted to be! I am so glad that you were able to make that one last trip out to California for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I will miss you Aunt Ovie and I will never forget you.

To the entire Stacey family, I am so very sorry for your loss, it is a great one. Whenever I think about the great and influential people in Comber, your mom always comes to mind. Her devotion to the children that attended the library was second to none. She touched the lives of all of us who were Blessed to have known her. May she rest in peace, xo

Thinking of you all. This is a beautiful picture of your Mom/Grandma. It is the Mrs.Stacey that we all remember from going to the library while growing up in our wonderful small town. She loved to share our town history and preserved it so well for all of our future generations; we are so grateful.

My sincerest sympathy to the family on Ovie's passing.
Mrs. Stacey was one of my first teachers. Growing up next to the library and attending library programs with Recreation I spent A LOT of time with her. Her friendly, forgiving and often challenging ways with kids won't be forgotten. When I get to read to kids at school in my libraries I often find myself channeling Ovie. Her reading style, with drama and humour rings in my ears. Many of the stories she read to me I've since purchased and read to my students in many schools. Her love of words that taste good I've tried hard to pass along. I feel blessed to have had this community leader help raise me.
