Obituary of John Ernest Dupuis

DUPUIS, John Ernest 84 years, of Chatham, passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Beloved husband of Jeanne (Charron). Loving father of Ronald, the late Luke (2001), Jerome, John, Jo-Anne, Rachelle and late husband Pat Marchand (2009), and Mark. Dearest grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents William & Florence (Freker) Dupuis. Dear brother of the late Luella (late husband Ken) Tolmie, the late Bernard Dupuis, the late Kathleen (late husband Jack) Grifka, the late George (surviving wife Corinne) Dupuis, the late Lawrence (surviving wife Mary Helen) Dupuis, Ray (Rita) Dupuis, Agnes (Charles) Labonte, Ernest (Pauline) Dupuis, Eugene (Sue) Dupuis, and Pauline (late husband Joseph) St. Pierre. Dear brother-in-law of Gerard (Maria) Charron, Annette Martin, the late Evelyn (surviving husband Clifford) Quinlan, and the late Omer Charron, Blanche Charron, Laurette Boucher, Roland Charron, Florence Charron, and Theresa Sterling. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. John was a Third Order Franciscan. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1950-1955, and worked as a custodian at Ontario Provincial Police station in Chatham after his retirement from Ford Motor Company in Windsor and Orangeville. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral service from the funeral home Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10 a.m., then to St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Joachim Cemetery. Memorial donations to Right to Life Kent or Alzheimer Society appreciated.
