NUSSEY, Eileen Jean (nee Sovie)

Beloved wife of Lyle, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Friday, September 27, 2024.  Daughter of the late George and Helen Sovie.  Sister of Ida Sproule.  Cherished mother of Barbara (Kim) MacKay, Jim (Jill, 2023), Allan (2019), and Kevin (Nicole).  Special Grandma to Jhislaine (Morgan), Jannah (Brent), Robbie (Phil), Justin (2004), Brandon (Nicole), Alyshia (Kynan), Lyle, Olivia (Alex), Adele (Andrew) and to 9 great-grandchildren.  Sister-in-law to Richard (2019) (Gloria) Nussey, Janet McConnell, and Kathy (Fred) Macdonald.  Special aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Eileen taught school at Maple Grove from 1958 to 1959.  In 1967 she started back at Centennial Central School teaching kindergarten and grade 2 until retiring in 1994.  Between those years she raised 4 children working on the farm planting, picking and selling tomatoes at the road.  Eileen loved to knit.  Everyone she loved has a special something that she knitted for them.  She loved to dance, shop, and eat good desserts.  Some of her favourite things were; travelling to Muskoka, Peurto Vallarta and snowmobiling in Michigan.

Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home Inc., 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5-8 p.m.  Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.  Interment to follow at McDowell Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to W.E. Care for Kids appreciated
