Obituary of Barbara Elizabeth Anne Hillman

HILLMAN, Barbara Elizabeth Anne (Stirling)

August 21, 1945 - July 11, 2024

Barbara Hillman (Stirling) passed away peacefully at Tilbury Manor Nursing Home on July 11, 2024.  Barb will be reunited with her recently departed husband Doug, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.  Barbara was born to Eugene (1993) and Edith Stirling (1994)  Barb was a loving sister to Carol Smith (2014) and Neil Stirling.  She was the best mum to her children Alison (Tim) and Douglas (Stephanie).  Gramma Barb adored her grandchildren Debra, Kyle, Lorne and Ashley as well as her great-granchildren Taylor, Reese, Addison and Tori.  She was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Barbara loved her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  She had a kind heart and a serving spirit.  Nothing made our mum feel more alive than helping people in need or who were feeling low.

Barbara will be missed by all whose lives she has touched, not to mention the birds and squirrels who would line her porch every morning in expectation of their daily allotment of grapes.

A private graveside service at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Tilbury and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
