Obituary of Douglas Archie Hillman

HILLMAN, Douglas Archie

December 11, 1940 - June 23, 2024

Douglas Hillman passed away peacefully at Chatham-Kent Hospice on June 23, 2024.  Loving husband of Barbara (Stirling) Hillman for 61 years.  Dearly loved father of Alison Myers (Tim) and Douglas (Stephanie) Hillman.  Cherished grandfather of Debra, Kyle, Lorne and Ashley.  Great-grandfather of Taylor, Reese, Addison and Tori.  Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. 

Doug strolled through life with a quick wit and a light heart.  He was never more proud than when he took his grandchildren and great grandchildren fishing, certain to make sure no worm was left behind.  Of course, no Christmas was complete without the taste of Papa Dougs legendary fudge.

Doug was a proud member of Local 444 and retired after 36 years of service with Chrysler Canada.

Doug is now in Heaven, reunited with his family, seated next to his recently departed brother Larry, impatiently watching the Jays.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice appreciated.
