Obituary of Bernice Marentette

Marentette, Bernice Rose (nee Gaudreau)

85 years, of Tilbury, passed away with her family by her side, on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.  Daughter of the late Arthur and Alice (née St. Denis) Gaudreau.  Loving mother of Deborah Marentette, late Kevin Marentette (1991), Jay (Christine) Marentette, and Shelley Mongelli.  Cherished mémé of Derek (Jenn), Sarah (Chris), Megan, Denny, Josh, Emilee (Jordan), Faith, Hannah, Juliano and great-mémé to  Harmony, Jaxon, Grace, Michael, Liam and Charlotte. Dear sister of Doris (Ray) Rivard and Mary Anne Boulton (Dennis).  Predeceased by her brothers Leonard, Donald, and Gerald (late Gloria).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Bernice always put her family first and Toronto Maple Leafs a close second.  She loved to entertain, especially hosting gatherings with her family.  She enjoyed playing cards, slots, Bingo and being the life of the party.  She will be terribly missed by everyone who knew her.   Cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury.  A private committal will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  Memorial donations to Ashley's Place, Tilbury or the Randy Atkinson Memorial Fund appreciated.
