It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Leon Benoit on Tuesday April 2, 2024.  Beloved husband for 69 years to Connie (nee Clark) Benoit.  Much loved father to Daniel (Dan) Benoit and Michael & Sharon Benoit.  Son of the late Jules & Laurentia (Leboeuf) Benoit.  Brother of Blanche & Glenn Cooper, and the late Gabriel & Edna Benoit, Charles (Chuck) Benoit, and Jules Jr. Benoit.  Beloved grandpa of Kayla & Richard, Danielle & Scott, Jenna, Jacob, and great-grandpa to Lucie.  Brother-in-law of Robert & late Doris Clark, Carl & Maureen Atkinson, Jim & Ellen Hope, and Mike & Peggy Hope.  Edward enjoyed being with his Knights of Columbus brothers in Tilbury for over 50 years.  He loved doing his woodworking and making furniture for his wife and family.  Gardening was a good pastime for Ed and he enjoyed seeing his very large pumpkins.

Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home Inc., 6 Canal Street West, Tilbury on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with Knights of Columbus Prayers at 7:30 p.m.  Funeral service from the funeral home on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. then to St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  Tilbury Knights of Columbus Council #2356 prayers at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Donations to Alzheimer's Society or Windsor Regional Cancer Centre appreciated
