Obituary of Marr Aldred Huson
HUSON, Marr Aldred
It is with broken hearts and deep faith that we announce our beloved and cherished Marr has gone into the loving arms of Jesus and Mary. He died peacefully in the presence of his wife Rita (née Marentette), the love of his life, married for 24 years. Predeceased by his first wife of 43 years, Dorothy 'Dot' (Berry), his parents Cora (Widdis) and James Huson, his sister Bonnie (Les) Dixon, brothers-in-law Raye (Betty), Jack (Eleanor) and surviving wife Adeline Berry, son-in-law of Wilfrid and Arthémise Marentette. Survived by his stepchildren Jeannine (Scott) Makowski, Christine (Jeff) Myslawchuk, Denis (Jeanine) Comartin, Louis (Sonia) Comartin. Beloved grandfather to Brian, Brandon (Baylee) Makowski, Jordan (Emilee), Dana Myslawchuk, Nathan (Gabriella), Brielle Comartin, Dellsie, Nolan Comartin. Proud Great Grandpa of precious Bella Comartin. Dearly loved brother-in-law to Alice (late Lawrence) Reaume, Lucille (late Robert) Mailloux, Norman (Theresa) (late Linda), Gerard (Elaine), Rene (Nancy), Jean Paul (Susan) Marentette. He will be dearly missed by many nephews and nieces, notably Laura (David) Johnson. Retired after 42 years working as an Electrical Sales Manager for Northern Electric/Nedco/Westburn. Marr was a devoted member of the Windsor Goodfellows & the Knights of Columbus Council 8783. Marr will be remembered for his kind and gentle personality, generous heart for all the handmade beaded Christmas trees that he gave away, and giving of himself in so many ways. He often said his whole life was turned around at age 68 when he met Rita on a bus trip 27 years ago; Marr had previously never eaten pizza, wore shorts, or picked so many fruits to make jam. His life was dramatically changed and brightened when he joined RCIA and was baptized into the Catholic Church at age 69. He'd say, "Now I have a big family and lots of friends". Thanks to Mary Lou (late Ed) Wagner, who lovingly supported Marr after the loss of Dot. A special thank you to his 'pet' PSW, Susi who went above and beyond, as well as all those who so lovingly took such good care of Marr for 4 years at Heron Terrace and previously at Hudson Manor for 20 months. Sincere appreciation to Fr Rob Rochleau for anointing Marr with the Sacrament of the Sick the day before his passing and heartfelt thanks for the compassionate care provided by Reaume Funeral Home staff. Rest in Peace, Marr. Till we meet again.
