Obituary of Cindy Lou Sealy-Duquette

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Cindy Sealy-Duquette passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 surrounded by her family. She will be lovingly and forever remembered by her devoted husband of 37 years, David; her children, Matthew (Zoé), Laura (Luc), and Adam (Lindsay); her grandchildren, Olivia, Owen, and Emily; her siblings, Patricia, Bob, Jean, and Nancy; and many more family members and friends.

Cindy was born on July 23rd, 1958, in Leamington, Ontario. She passionately enjoyed being social, laughing with those she loved, and enjoyed the everyday pleasures that many people take for granted. She lived a life marked by compassion, kindness, joyfulness, and gratitude. Through this, she inspired care, respect and love in all those she met. These lessons will live on forever. 

She was fulfilled through her contributions to her community. As a dedicated social worker, she had a profound impact on the lives of countless children and families during her time with the Children’s Aid Society of Canada. She grew in her career and became a member of the Windsor-Essex School Board as a distinguished educator.

Her warmth always filled the room, she will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal Street West, Tilbury. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 11th, at St Francis Xavier Parish, 32 Canal St W, Tilbury. In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Way of Chatham-Kent https://give.unitedway.ca/donate/WCHATH would be appreciated.
