Obituary of Brian Michael Lowes

LOWES, Brian

69 years of Tilbury, passed away at home, with family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer, on Saturday, September 23, 2023.  Beloved husband of Corinne (nee Lanoue) for 39 years.  Loving father of Danielle (Brian Dietrich) and Evan (Chantal) Lowes.  Devoted gramps to his little pumpkin Elise.  Dear brother of the late Bill Lowes, Julie Lowes, and Matthew (Grace) Lowes. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Shirley Lowes and in-laws Armand and Patricia Lanoue.  Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.  Brian "Fairly Honest Lowes" followed in the footsteps of his father selling cars in the Chatham-Kent area for 44 years.  He was a devoted hockey fan who patiently waited every draft year for his call up to the big league in the NHL, even at 69 years of age.  Brian loved the Muskokas routinely going to a cottage with Paul and Clair Whittal, late Dave and Mary-Lynn McGuire, Mike and Diane Laliberte and their families.  In accordance with Brian's wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will take place at a later date at McDowell Cemetery, Comber and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Blenheim Blades JR. C Hockey Organization or The Tilbury Information and Help Centre are appreciated.
