Obituary of Ralph Erie Mellow

MELLOW, Ralph

90 years, of Comber, passed away peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Saturday, September 16, 2023.  Beloved husband of the late Joan Mellow (nee Carter)(2018).  Loving father of Duane (Carol) Mellow, Sheryl (Stephen) Gallagher, Roger (late Debra, 2022) Mellow, and Randy (Cindy) Mellow.  Cherished grandpa to Michael Mellow, Jeremy Gallagher, Loren Gallagher, Ryan (Jenn) Mellow, Adam Mellow (Stacey Van Grinsven), Trevor (Vanessa) Mellow, Jared Mellow (Alyson Hodgson), and Kristyn Mellow and great-grandpa to Kendra, Emilie, Ruby, Lucy, Blair, Avery and Cassidy.  Son of the late Lorne and Irene (Copeman) Mellow.  Dear brother of Edith (late Don) Benge (late Bert Renaud), Marlene (late Larry) Langs, and late Linda (late Stan) Kelly and brother-in-law of late Jean (Art) Arthurs, Joyce (late Murray) Mellow, and Marlene (Bill Roach).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Ralph was an avid farmer and collector of antique tractors and farm memorabilia.  In accordance with Ralph's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family interment will follow at a later date at McDowell Cemetery, Comber.  A celebration of life will be held at the Comber Royal Canadian Legion Branch #241 on Sunay October 1, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  All are welcome.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Merlin United Church or Erie Shores Hospice https://www.eshf.ca/donations/erie-shores-health-foundation/ appreciated.
