ZEMMICKY, George

92 years, of Tilbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 11, 2023 at his residence. Son of late George and late Ceceil (née Kokeny) Zemnicky. Survived by his wife, Earla Zemmicky (nee Frankfurth) of 72 years. Beloved father of Larry (Barb) Zemmicky and Kerri (Conrad) Mitchell. Devoted Grandfather of six and Great Grandfather of five. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of the late Betty, the late Helen, the late Frank, and surviving Margaret. George loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and most enjoyed hunting with his son Larry and grandson Ryan. He was retired from the Ministry of Transportation where he worked for 36 years. George loved gardening and had quite the green thumb for flowers.  

Visitation will be held at Reaume Funeral Home Inc. 6 Canal Street West, Tilbury on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church 32 Canal Street West, Tilbury. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Fr. Terrance Runstedler. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Society are appreciated. Online condolences can be shared at www.reaumefh.com.
