Obituary of Doris Patricia Therrien
THERRIEN, Doris (Patricia)
86 years, of Tilbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Sun Parlor Home, Leamington. Beloved wife of the late Ray Therrien. Loving mother of Sue (Dave) White, Ken (Lu-Anne) Therrien and Michael (Margaret) Therrien. Devoted grandmother of Danaka White (J.P. Beaupre) and Kyle White (Bianca), Chantelle (Matt) Stevens, Kenson (Michelle) Therrien, and Rebecca (Tommy) Stines, Mackenzie Therrien (Bryan), Michaela Therrien, and Maggie Therrien and great-grandchildren; Claire and Avery Stevens, Blair Beaupre, Carson Stines and Bryson Therrien. Dear sister of the late Norman Dufault and late Betty Jean Dufault, Bob Dufault, and Carol Duquette. Doris is predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Irene Dufault and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Doris worked at Big O Drainage for several years and had a keen mind for numbers, but her main passion and focus was her family. She was a fantastic cook and always managed to have her children’s favourite meals made for their birthdays – chicken and putsins and upside-down pineapple cake. She made the best meat pies and butter tarts at Christmas and could always be found in the kitchen cooking for her family or crocheting her elaborate doilies. Doris and her husband also loved to fish and travel the world.
