Obituary of Margaret Ann Cranston

CRANSTON, Margaret Ann (nee McFadden)

Margaret passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2023, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Todd Cranston for 33 years. Loving mother of Jessica Quenneville (Damon) and Marina Cranston (John Morillo), grandmother of Brooks Quenneville and Parker Morillo. She is survived by her mother Christine McFadden (nee Fullerton) and by her brother Michael McFadden (wife Angie). She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. 

Margaret was born in Toronto and moved to Tilbury at fourteen years old. She worked with her family at the “Tibby” hotel, then on to Olsonite and Navistar. After the Navistar closure she went back to school and completed her environmental engineering diploma. She was very proud to work for the Municipality of Lakeshore in their fresh water treatment operations in Stoney Pointe and Belle River.  

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the amazing medical staff who helped her through her 8 year battle with cervical cancer. The staff at the Windsor Cancer Centre, Victoria Hospital Cancer Centre and Leamington Hospice. 

Thank you so much to all her friends who reached out to her during this final struggle, you will always be appreciated for the compassion demonstrated. It truly meant so much to her and her family. 

Memorial donations to McDowell Cemetery, Comber appreciated.

The family will be having a private memorial service at a later date.
