RIVEST, Edgar Joseph

90 years, of Comber, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.  He is reunited with his soul mate, Cecile (née Lajoie), whom he has greatly missed for the past 4 years.  Loving father of Gerald (Aline Rocks), Marcel (Melanie), Linda (John) Landschoot, and Richard (Lori Dupuis).  Cherished Pepe to Justin, Lynette, Johnny, Michael, Willie, Jaclyn, Nicole, Richard, and Avril.  Great-Pepe of Alasdair, McKenna, Charlie, Claire, Madison, Avery, Evie and one on the way. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Beatrice (née Marentette).  Loving brother of the late Rita (late William) Girard, late Denis (Lea), late Lena (late Louis) Trepanier, late Noella (late Don) Moynahan and Roland (Marie-Jeanne). He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Edgar began farming at the young age of 13 and continued farming for many years.  He retired from Chrysler after 30 years of dedicated service.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and cutting his grass.  Edgar’s faith was a very important part of his daily life.  It brought him great strength and joy.  He was a very passionate, kind and caring man.  We would like to thank Zeny for being Dad’s guardian angel.  Her care and love for our dad will always hold a special place in our hearts.  A special thank you to Windsor/Essex Hospice and VON.  Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home Inc., 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury, on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Knight's of Columbus council 2356 prayers at 7:30 p.m..  Funeral service on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church.  Interment to follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  Donations to the Windsor/Essex Hospice or St. Francis Xavier Church Building Fund appreciated.  Online condolences may be shared at www.reaumefh.com
