DAWSON, Burt Wayne
August 26, 1937- November 25, 2022

Passed away peacefully at home in LaSalle, Ontario, surrounded by family at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Norma Jean (neé Griggs), sharing 65 years of marriage on November 2nd. Loving father of David & Jean Dawson,  Dale & Linda Dawson, Douglas Dawson, Daphne Dawson, Darren & Mariam Dawson, Daniel & Mandy Dawson, and Craig & Debra Sterling. Cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Brother of Robert & Bonnie Dawson, Murray & Beth Dawson, Doris Dawson (late),  Melodie & Grant Snary, Brian & Cyndi Dawson. Son of Ernest Ray Dawson (late) & Gladys Ardath Dawson (late).

Born in Wheatley, Ontario at his parents' farmhouse. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, he remained a faithful member of the Tilbury Regular Baptist Church for 70 years. He was the oldest of six children and had a gift for touching lives in a special way. He was an accomplished athlete, musician, and handyman, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a gentle and quiet man who loved his family and served community youth as a coach and mentor.

Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home Inc., 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury, on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 9:00-10:45am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am.
