Obituary of Dora Rivest

RIVEST, Dora (nee Ladouceur) Formerly of Tilbury and Staples, passed away, peacefully on February 3, 2012 in her 96th year at Riverview Gardens in Chatham. Beloved wife of the late Origene (1987). Loving mother of Madeleine (Leonard) Alexander of LaSalle, Lucie Stark of Columbus Ohio, Carmel (Paul) Belanger of Tilbury, Francis (Idil) of Atlanta Georgia, Victor (Pat) of Leamington, Claire-Marie (Leo) Larente of Tilbury, and Jerome of Comber. Beloved mémé of 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Predeceased by parents Alderic & Emma (Girard). Dear sister of Florida (1949), Achille (1981)(Bella), Clement (1992) (Lena) (2002). She will be fondly remembered and missed by many in-laws, nieces and nephews of the Rivest family. Mom loved and was dedicated to her family and strived to instil moral values to her children and their families. After spending many years working with her husband at the Staples General Store, mom dedicated many hours working in genealogy and recorded several generations of family ancestors. We will always remember the many family gatherings when we enjoyed mom's traditional French Canadian culinary skills. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury on Monday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. C.W.L. prayers Monday at 2 p.m. Parish prayers Monday at 8 p.m. Funeral Service from the funeral home on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., then to St Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Staples.
