Sad news to hear about Uncle Frank. Thinking of you all and pray you find peace during this time.
A little storey, I was living in BC and visiting Ontario. I was out and about and driving towards Windsor on the 401 when I needed to stop to pee. I was close to Tilbury and knew there was a Timmies, so I stopped to use the bathroom and get a coffee. When I came out of the bathroom , I noticed this man sitting there with some friends. I was pretty sure it was Uncle, but it had been many years since I moved away to join the Military. By the time I got my coffee, I looked over and he was no longer there. I huried out the door thinking I'm a wee bit faster and should catch him. Needless to say, I called out to him and he didn't recognize me. When I told him who I was, he hugged me hard and we both cried. We spent the next 45 minutes or so just chatting and catching up. It was a beautiful time for me and I am honored to have had that time with him.
Growing up we had many fond memories at Hncle Frank and Aunt Mary's house. My favourite was running around the apple orchards and picking rhubarb.
Rest in Peace Uncle .... Love you
Melynda (Mindy)
