Obituary of John Francis Mailloux

John Francis Mailloux Jr. a resident of Tilbury died January 9, at Tilbury Manor, at the age of 64 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Born in Tilbury, he was the beloved husband of Brenda Johnston Mailloux for 38 years.  Son of the late John Francis Mailloux Sr., mother Florence Hasler Crowley.  Son in law to the late Ronald and Jeannette Johnston. Brother-in-law of Joe and Simone Johnston and special uncle to Justin Johnston.

John was a die-hard MapleLeaf’s fan, and award-winning horse shoe player for the Tilbury Legion qualifying for the All-Canadian Legion Pairs Finals Tournament. He also enjoyed spending time with family and playing cards. He was a lift truck driver and retired from Autoliv after 17 years.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Tilbury Manor and Dr. Bryan, as well as all the wonderful staff at the Alzheimer’s Society of Chatham Kent for all their assistance and support.

Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.
