My heart goes out to Doug's family who he so treasured. As a
co-worker I have had the pleasure of getting to know Doug over the past several years. Doug always had a funny story to tell me when we would meet and always shared stories of how proud he was of his grandchildren. Doug was to receive his 15 year award of service with the Municipality this year. Doug will be greatly missed.

Our condolences to Keith and family on the passing of Doug. Whenever
I had the pleasure of talking with him it would start with racing but always centered on the kids which he loved so much. He will surely be missed and undoubtedly left many cherished memories.

We have so many great memories of Doug dating back to the early 70s when Craig and I were kids. Doug was a great friend to Dad and he was at the farm along with Keith regularly. He was a part of our family. So many wonderful memories of him making us laugh and working on race cars in the shed. I remember learning how to bake and I made him a pie to cheer him up one day. He said how good it was and I knew it was terrible. He was a good man. Will miss him very much. Love Cath, and Craig Bracken and family.

So sorry to hear this. To Keith and all the family Anne and I send our thoughts and prayers. In all my years at South Buxton I viewed Doug not as an employee but rather a family member friend and confidant. Whether it was 6 in the morning or late at night Doug (I called him the “ole man” but he always had more energy than I did. We solved many of the world’s problems over a cold beer or a hunk of chew lol. RIP Doug my friend you are sadly missed

Sending my deepest sympathy to the Cameron family. I have recently retired, however I use to deliver the mail to Doug. I got to know him pretty well over the years and we often talked about our "Boys" in hockey. Dougs grandson Nick and my nephew Brayden played on the same team. Doug would often bring me up to date with the happenings of their latest games. He was very proud of Nick and the skills he had. I always enjoyed our chats and will miss him greatly.

Keith & Family, So sorry for your loss, Grandpa Doug will be missed by many, lots of memories of him from the race track, coming in the restaurant for breakfast on Saturday mornings for a break from working on the track, and always asking if I wanted a chew, I remember he offered Eric a chew & he took it put it in his mouth like grandpa Doug but swallowed it, oh my he literally turned green and was sicker then a dog, from then on every time your dad offered Eric a chew he would turn green.. your dad would just laugh his butt off, your family are in my thoughts & prayers....R.I.P Doug
